How do I put my Tidy Books bookcase together?
Full instructions and everything you need, apart from a screwdriver, is
included in the box. We promise it's easy to do!
What materials is the bookcase made from?
Tidy Books bookcase is made from solid beech, beech ply and a clear lacquer
finish. The bookcase is made in Europe from sustainable sources.
The letters are wooden, in red, yellow and green.
How many books does it hold?
Yes it really does hold around 85 books - this is because the books are
placed facing outward so you can fit a lot into quite a slim space!
Is it freestanding?
The bookcase is screwed at the top to the wall it rests against. It stands
out from the wall about 5cm at the base of the unit, easily fitting around
any size skirting board.
How big is the size of the box? Does it fit in a car?
It measures 81cm x 47cm x 7cm and weighs 8kg, so it can easily be transported.
Are you a limited company?
Yes. Company Number: 4877859.
The bookcases are unusual - are there any other companies producing
them?
Tidy Books is the only bookshelf of its type available for the home market.
We spent a long time developing the product and testing it with our friends
and family. The design is copyrighted and trade mark registered.
What is the availability of the bookshelves?
Our bookshelves are normally available for immediate dispatch.
How quickly will I get my bookshelves?
The bookcases take 6-10 days to be delivered, Monday to Friday inclusive.
How do you deliver the bookshelves?
We delivery direct to your door using City Link.
Can I order more than one at a time?
Of course. Just add £5 for postage and packing (UK) for each additional
bookcase ordered at same address. For overseas orders please look at our
online ordering page or contact us for a quote.
Wholesale orders are welcome. Please get
in touch with us for further information.
Does someone have to be in to sign for the delivery?
Yes.
What if I miss the delivery?
City Link will leave a card, and they will also try to deliver the next
day.
Can I return my bookshelf?
Our policy on returned goods is as follows:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the
right to cancel the contract for the purchase at any point from the
time of ordering until seven working days after delivery. If we have
already shipped your order, you will need to package the bookcase and
send it back to us at your own cost. These conditions do not affect
or jeopardise your statutory rights.
It is your responsibility that the parcel reaches us safely and we
suggest you obtain proof of posting. You are liable for postage costs
for returns, unless the bookcase is damaged or has faults or is otherwise
faulty on our side.
If the bookshelf is returned to us in the time scale stipulated and
in the same condition as it was originally sent and in its original
box a full refund will be issued without delay. If the order was originally
made from outside of the UK and Europe please take care to fill in posting
documentation details correctly.
Goods to the UK may incur duty charges if you fail to make it clear
that the package is a "return" to the UK and not an import.
In the event of documentation being completed incorrectly and tax or
duty subsequently being charged to Tidy Books, the sum involved will
be deducted from your final refund.
In the unlikely event that there is a fault with the bookcase you have
ordered, please telephone us immediately - it may be possible to send
you a replacement part, rather than you returning the whole bookcase.
